Please explain to me about the EPF procedure. Can an employee who has a basic salary under ₹6,500 be exempted from PF deduction? Please help me out with this problem.

The employees whose basic salary is less than ₹6500 cannot be exempted from EPF. However, if the basic salary upon joining is more than ₹6500, they have the option to choose PF deduction. The calculation is simple:

6500 (or the actual basic salary) * 12% = ₹780.
