I am working in a bank but not in its Human Resource Department. Yet I have always been interested in pursuing a career in HR. I have a total experience of 4 years in the banking sector. Recently I enrolled for the Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from TISS. This is the first year TISS has started this course. Previously it was a Diploma in HR. But from this year they have started this Executive course. Its duration is 15 months & the lectures are conducted every saturday & sunday. I would like to know what avenues can I look forward to? Will my banking experience be counted if I try & get into a bank's HR dept.? What if I try in some other company (apart from banking)? Will I be looked upon as a fresher or still my 4 years of banking experience be counted? Kindly help me with my query as early as possible. Awating your reply.
