Hi,

Nowadays, you can go online and find several sites that provide an online IQ test. During the test, smart questions are asked, and you have to answer within a specified time. The test is a combination of general knowledge, math, logic, etc. Once you complete the test, they can show you the results immediately.

Dear Pawan,

Here is a formula to calculate the I.Q.:

I.Q. = (Mental Age / Actual Age) x 100

Less than 50 - DULL
51 - 70 - IDIOT
71 - 90 - FOOL
91 - 100 - ORDINARY
101 - 120 - INTELLIGENT
121 - 140 - BRILLIANT
141 and more - GENIUS

We hope you are satisfied with the above information.

Best Regards,
Babu

IQ stands for Intelligence Quotient. The tests available online are not standardized tests. If you really want to know your IQ, you have to use standardized tests such as the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS), Stanford-Binet Intelligence Tests, and Ravens Progressive Matrices (RPM).

The classification provided by Babu appears to be incorrect. An average IQ typically ranges from 90 to 110. Scores above 70 and below 90 are considered just below average in intelligence (terms like dull, idiot, fool, imbecile, etc., are no longer used). A score of 50 to 70 indicates mild mental retardation, 35 to 49 indicates moderate mental retardation, 20 to 34 indicates severe mental retardation, and below 20 indicates profound mental retardation.

If someone scores 110 and above, they are known as above average in intelligence. In the Indian setup, to determine IQ levels, you can use the Advanced Progressive Matrices. This test is not meant to assess below-average intelligence; it is designed for normal and above-average individuals. It provides IQ scores, with the maximum IQ being 135.

If you find it challenging to use these tests, consider consulting a clinical psychologist. They are trained and eligible to conduct these assessments.
