I can think of relating "Conviction" with Value Based Management (VBM). This is an approach which ensures companies are built / run on value systems. Its about creating / managing and measuring values at each stage of business.
Effective VBM facilitates Decision Makers (who leads by "conviction") and thus making the organization value driven.
Leading by conviction facilitates the Managers to identify the appropriate performance indicates influencing the values of the organization.
