Actually we want to have audit on our companys housekeeping, so i need to have a checklist of parameters on which to evaluate.

If you are refering to 5S house keeping, then I can help.
FYI: 5S is Japanese name for House keeping. It has 5 steps Viz Sortout (SEIRI), Systematic Arrangement ( SEITON) , Spic and Span ( SEISO), Standardization ( SEIKETSU) and Self Descipline (SHITSUKE)
*** The one inside the bracket are Japanese names

just a further addon to what Rameshan has already referred.
if you need to have a world class enviroment then go for "Good Hygiene Practices" GHP which are followed by majority of pharma/ food processing industries.
regret cant cut and paste few hundred pages manuals so the best bet would be to speak with CII for the same. they have good repositories on such standards and this shouldnt cost much. its highly subsidised for small cos
( i myself have been trained on GMP/ GHP/ HACCP by CII)

My Dear Banerji,
5S is not housekeeping. These are in fact sound principles of mgmt in practise with all leading maufacturers.
you should start by using it personally at home or in your cubicle.

I can surely help you on this but for that I need to have further details on:
1) Type of the property usages - BPO, Pharma, Mfg. Unit etc.
2) Internal Services or Outsourced
3) Approx sq.ft area with detail breakup Offices / Guest Houses / Rest Houses
4)Material used for interiors of the property
5) Services provided such as Carpet cleaning, glass cleaning, toilet block cleaning, Floor caring etc.
6) Expected service level - 3 star / 4 star / 5 star etc.
I know you will be surprised to know that as it is very imp. to prepare the housekeeping checklist. I am currently working as a Training consultant for a MNC in Facility management.

I would like to add that You are saying of 5S is actually not house keeping it relates to cleanliness and systamatic pattern of work done.

Would like to know your company business what type of business is involved is it manufacturing, service industry, educational etc..... their are some variation of housekeeping requirment which depends on the industry....! I was looking for the answer if somebody had asked you the same..................!
And as sehgal had provide the major points are coverd under the file and some other will relate to the industry.....!
And why dont you ask this this question who is purely in Admin or industrial admin.............!
