An Act has also been passed like Factories Act and Shops and Establishment Act to monitor the legal compliance and welfare aspects in this sector. It is called Building and Other Construction Workers(Regulation of Employment and Conditionof Service) Act 1996. Now the respective state governaments has passed rules under this and are expecting strict compliance.
