Facing Personal Issues: Do I Need to Cancel My Saudi Work Visa and What Are the Costs?

Visa Cancellation Inquiry

I got a 3-month work visa stamped on my passport to work in Saudi Arabia. However, due to personal problems, I am unable to go to Saudi Arabia. Is it necessary to cancel the visa? What are the charges for cancellation? What will happen if I do not cancel it? The Saudi consulate does not allow the submission of documents individually; it must be done through agents only. Your reply will be very helpful.

Thanks.

Hi there! If you have a short-term visit visa, then there will be no issue. But if it's an employment visa, you should go; otherwise, your name will be blacklisted. In other words, you are banned. It is very difficult to lift a ban in Saudi Arabia. On the other hand, if it is the UAE, you'll be banned for a short period. Bye.

Once your visa is stamped in your passport, you must enter that particular country within 6 months from the date of the visa. If you do not enter within 6 months, the visa will automatically be canceled. No further procedures will be required from your end to cancel the visa.

Your employer will handle the necessary formalities for cancellation to obtain labor clearance once again.

I believe there is no need for you to worry.

Both kuccoo and Shreyas are right. Please check the Visa Stamping where the Validity Date would be mentioned. If your visa is a Work Permit/Employment visa, then you need to cancel it. Usually, work permits are for longer durations, so in all probability, yours must be a short-term/Visitor's/Tourist visa. In which case, you need not worry.

Dear all, I find myself in a similar situation. I was offered a job in KSA, but my short-term 3-month work visa was mistakenly stamped as "technician" instead of "engineer." I have requested the employer to rectify this error. They have sent a letter to the embassy to cancel the previous visa. At present, my passports are at the embassy. However, once the cancellation is processed, they will be in possession of the KSA company's agent in my country.

I am now considering refusing the offer and not allowing the visa to be renewed. In this case, I would like to know if they will return my passport.

Hello Mr. Engrind, as I said earlier, you cannot cancel these types of visas. The maximum chance is that you are going to be banned by the employer. However, if you are dealing through an agent, they may ask for compensation for processing the visa, and it entirely depends on them. Otherwise, try to provide a certificate stating that you are not physically fit for the country.

The situation is a little bit different. I haven't moved to KSA after stamping the visa. As soon as the visa was stamped, it was stamped with the wrong occupation.

Advice Needed

I need advice: will the agent return my passports if I refuse, as now I am planning to immigrate to Australia.

Regards.

I have a 5-year business visa, but I will be changing jobs here in Saudi Arabia. How can I cancel this visa so that the new company can sponsor me for another visa?

Hello,

Is it possible to get a Saudi employment visa stamped on your passport when you already have a UAE employment visa on your passport?

Seeking Advice on Handling Multiple Job Offers in Riyadh

Please let me know what is the best course of action in this case. I have a job offer from Company A in Riyadh, KSA, and I finally got my visa stamped after 4 months of hard work. It's been a month since then, and the company has not issued me tickets to travel. I now have another offer from another company also based in Riyadh.

How do I refuse the offer from Company A, whose visa is already stamped on my passport, and apply for another visa for the new company? Should I inform the new company that I already have a visa stamped from Company A?

Regards
