Need Help with Rent Self-Declaration Format for Tax Exemption – Any Suggestions?

It's time to submit investment declarations and other tax-saving documents in my company. My company states that to benefit from tax exemption on HRA, I must submit rent receipts along with either a rent agreement or a self-declaration form.

I have rent receipts but no rental agreement with my flat owner. Therefore, I now require a format for a Rent Self-Declaration. Please provide me with the House rent self-declaration format.

Only rent receipts are sufficient. I have been producing rent receipts only for the past 15 years. No issues encountered so far.

Here is the template for the Rent Self-Declaration that I submitted. I hope it will help somebody.

You are wrong because rent receipts are not a complete document for the income tax department. I think your accounts department and directors have no good knowledge of responsibilities for the income tax department. The employer is responsible for poor or incomplete documents, and the company is liable to pay every income tax due if every document is not available from the employee.

I just wanted to ask whether it is necessary to register the rent agreement or if there is a limit on the amount of rent to be registered. I will be showing a rent of Rs. 8000/- per month for 11 months. Please suggest.
