HR Policies For Small IT Firm

Greetings for the day!!
Hope everyone is enjoying public holiday!
I joined as a Management Trainee in an IT firm(Gujarat) a year back.
We are Software Outsourcing company.We do Client Based work.
Strength of our organisation is around 300.
We are in the process of restructuring and revamping the organisation.
I am working on a project related to HR policies. I need some reference material to understand the basic and the best practices that I can apply in my organisational context.
Thus I would be grateful If any one of you could send across some material , template , manual , handbook etc. that would help me understand HR policies in a better way.
PS: I am working in an IT firm so I would prefer if the policies that are relevant to IT industry although material on other general HR practices are most welcome. :)

Suggest you do a Search in CiteHR first--there are 'tons' of material in the archives here--all contributed as Postings by other members a different points of time.
Pl make your request ONLY if you don't get what you need. But a word of caution--even if you get the needed policies related to IT domain, you may have to do quite a bit of re-doing to suit your company environment--since no 2 companies have identical environments.

You would find all the HR Tools in this group, shared in the link. You would find HR Manuals and employee handbook with policies specific to the IT sector.

Once you have read and worked on your understanding, please do blog your queries on the implementation part. Your environment is unique hence would require a lot of customization with the legal guidelines and company requirement.
