Serious Problem Of Not Attending Interview

Hi Frns,
I m HR Exec., In Recruitment Industry , Facing serious problem of not attending interview , we use to source CV's than call Potential candidate to get their details , than 4word there CV's to company , they got short listed by client company, they assure to attend interview but at last movement they don't attend..........................
And we have to call them to convince them several times n here we west our lot of time plz suggest me solution

when you call the candidate, ensure that they are looking for a change
if yes, ask their willngness with the current opening you have
if they really willing to opt, ask them to register in your organisation with registration fee ( this will be for 3 interviews untill that they are not getting posted the registration fee expires)
when they pay the fee and register then send the CV to client

we r applying ur first suggestion of ensuring candidate still they do the same, and about ur second thing of registration will make r candidate flow weak to company. wt to do

Thanks but this is not valid solution as per my situation becoz , we are recruiting for all over India and candidate are also from various locations , so we foreword them accordingly it is not cost effective to ask them to cum down to our office first, plz tell me sumthing else...................

One of the reason I found is that, the recruiting firms normally call up at very short notice like 2-3 days gaps. The job seekers commit to them since they want a new job but at the same time, due to very short notice for interview, they find it very difficult to come for interview leaving their present job commitments (exceptions are there). I feel job seekers should get atleast weeks time to prepare himself for interview and arrange the things at current job.

Change your presentation , I think the problem might be in you ...you must so self appraisal of yourself and find the solution in yourself.
In addition i would like to say that do not try to call those candidates who are staying far enough from the posting location and if possible try and ask your client to finalise the interview in one meeting as today time is money and no want to waste it like.

Hi Suraj, it might be true , but not in case of our company , we provide them res enable time, if want i used to prepare travel plan for them , even if it is not possible than we provide fight Fare for real potential candidate ................. now tell me wt is the problem
I can understand , that there r sum genuine reasons , acceptable but if we reschedule them than they have to go ........................

That might be very true Sachin sir, i would like to change my self , but tell me wt is the problem in presentation i am not giving excuse , i tell u wt procedure we use , v first source candidates according to requirement, than call closely matching candidate considering there location, than der is small questioner , we ask hem that to check weather candidate is really good , even technically and for that we r trained ,
than we ask them about their relocation, & if at all they r ok with Profile v forward there CV's to company, Than if they get Shortlisted by company v call them , and company also arrange their interview according to there current location with Reimbursement facility even through it is not that far ........................

Pl confirm the following:
1] Since when are you facing this problem?
2] Assuming you are one among many recruiters in your Company, are the others too having the same problem?
3] Which is the Domain you operate in--IT or ITeS or Non-IT or Banking, etc?
Pl note that every domain will have it's own set of issues [I wouldn't say-problems] to be handled.

does your agreement with employer is untill candidate join or just compile profile and send to employer
or you are doing head hunt for the employer
in all three cases you have to look into your procedures and put your agreemtn accordingly
for each of the order you work pl collect the relevant datas and try to analyse
find out your route casue and take action, i action found satisfactory make changes to your procedure and make agreement with employer as accordingly, try see your business continuity rather than wasting time in NVA
