Ravi,
a) Buy the ISO9001 standard from any Bureau of Indian Standard office. In Delhi, it is at Manak Bhavan, ITO. The cost should be around 300/-. You can even take membership of their library for a nominal fee. It will come in handy for thousands of product standards that you use in your line of business (e.g., IS for sheet metal/copper conductors, etc.).
b) Get at least one person from your company certified in ISO9001 as an internal auditor.
c) Contact BIS or Underwriters Laboratories if your company wants to make genuine improvements. Otherwise, you can get an ISO9001 certificate from any fly-by-night operators for only 35,000/-. If you belong to a small-scale industry, you can avail a 75,000/- subsidy too.
Finally, I am an Auditor myself. I can't teach you the standard as such, but read the standard ten times and ask questions. I will help.
