How Can a Commitment Letter Help Reduce Employee Attrition During Probation?

I need the format of a "Commitment Letter" that would be signed by the employees. The management in our company expects this as a tool to curtail attrition or at least the exits that take place during the probation period.

Can you please be a little clearer with your query? Otherwise, it seems like you may require an Agreement Letter signed by the employee, stating that they will be with the company for at least a certain period of time, and if they fail to do so, there will be some penalty. Please clarify your requirements.
