Need Help Expanding Workshop Staff Designations in Our Automobile Company

Request for Workshop Staff Designations

We are an automobile company. Can anybody provide me with some designations for our workshop staff? We already have some designations such as Manager-Works, Service Advisor, Technical Supervisor, Technicians, etc. I am waiting for the list of designations.

- Manager - Service (After Sales)
- Manager - Body & Paint
- Floor Supervisor / Controller
- Repair Technicians
- Maintenance Technicians

- Painter

Parts Department Designations

For the Parts Department (as the parts department is also a part of the service department):

- Parts Manager or Manager - Parts
- Parts Supervisor
- Picker

Our Designations Structure

Our designations are as follows:

- Manager - D3
- Dy. Manager - D2
- Ass. Manager - D1
- Sr. Engineer - B3
- Engineer - B2
- Officer - B1
- Supervisor - A3
- Line Leader - A2
- Operator - A1
- Trainee Operator - OPER

In the B & C grades, both flow in the same grade; the difference is that B is for technical designations while people in C Grade are classified as staff, such as Sr. Executive (C3), Executive (C2), Officer (C1).

We have some technicians and product developers who are in the E grade. They fall under the staff category, but they are always on the shop floor for supervision and development.

- Pre-Delivery Inspector (After Service - usually carried out by a Senior Technician)
- Drivers for pickup & delivery of customer cars (with basic knowledge of identifying dents/damages on the car before service)

- Painters
- Car Wash Executives
