How Can I Make Our Employee Training on Communication Skills Engaging and Interactive?

In my current organization, I am about to start a training program as the management feels a serious need to groom the employees on their English, email etiquettes, and effective communication. Please give me some creative and innovative ideas to make the session more lively and interactive at the same time.

Dear Neeta,

I think inviting an "outsider's" point of view really helps. If you can get a non-Indian to be a part of the communication workshop, there is a realization of words and phrases that we typically use that are not understood (at least in the context that we Indians do) by the intended recipient.

Right now, as we have people in-house who can impart training, I'm not looking for an external trainer. I need some innovative ideas that will make the sessions more fun and interactive so that they are grasped well.
