Understanding ESI Coverage and Dispensary Proximity: Regulations and Guidance

Dear All,

There is no ESI Dispensary nearby our factory (around 55KM distance between our factory and the nearest ESI dispensary). Is there any specific rule, amendment, notification, etc., about the applicability of ESI coverage based on distance... Please advise.

If your factory or establishment is located in a notified area, then only your establishment will come under ESI coverage. Please visit the website of ESIC or personally meet the nearest Local Office of the ESIC to know whether or not your area is a notified area.
