ESIC Draft Notification Update

ESIC issued a draft notification for revising the Funeral Expenses from Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000 and also increasing the dependent age from 18 years to 25 years. It also widens the scope of ESI coverage to employees engaging 10 or more in shops, theaters, educational institutions, etc. It is in draft; it takes time to implement the same.
