Dear Krishnappa,

Net salary (Take home) = Gross salary - Deductions (tax, Professional Tax, Provident fund, ESI).

Hope this helps you.

Income tax is your personal expense. Take-home means salary excluding income tax. Take-home salary means gross salary less statutory deductions like PF, ESI, Professional Tax, etc.

Also, please let me know in what context you require this information. Because for taking a bank loan, going for a credit card, etc., this meaning changes.

This is just a clarification to provide the salary breakdown for new joiners' take-home salary. Therefore, I need your valuable suggestions for the same.

Thanks,
Krishnappa
