Need Help with Budgeting for a Developer Team: Any Example Documents or Models?

I am tasked with establishing financial budgeting and monitoring the performance of the same for a team of developers. I do not have experience in this area. Would any of you kindly point me to any example documents or models I could learn from?

Thanks, Dinesh! I may look to participate in some formal training at some point. For now, I'm looking for some general guidance and perhaps an existing model/artifact from which I can review and learn. In other words, I don't believe we have the budget at present to take this to the next level and participate in formalized training just yet :)
