Hi Savitha,
a) Start with "WHO guidelines for handwashing." Depending on the sector, workers are given a minimum of 4-hour training on Handwashing practices.
b) Housekeeping is an integral component of the "Fire manual"; with good housekeeping, fires can be prevented to the best extent. Does your organization have a fire manual? For example, spills, cross storage of different substances together.
c) Does your organization impart training to electricians? Even this is an integral part of the Fire manual. For example, extension cords are simply not allowed beyond a 3-month duration. Electricians need to use "ground fault circuit interrupter" while doing any electrical work. Does your company provide them safety devices? Normally, people give them substandard rubber gloves. Arc flash is a major hazard; they need to have face masks, full-body suits, etc. Share more data on your company's day-to-day work, and I will help you in designing SOPs for the same.
I am certified in Good Hygiene Practices "GHP" from CII and have formats based on internationally valid best practices, yet they may be difficult to implement in the majority of companies here.
Regards,
Surya
