Hello friends,
My sister is working in a limited company as an HR Manager. However, she is the sole person responsible for managing all HR policies in the company. The company is not publicly listed and has approximately 450 outlets, including both franchisees and branches, with a total employee count of around 900. She has a total of one year of experience.
She has received another job offer with a 60% increment in salary. Although the employee count is lower, the new company is publicly listed, with 5-6 branches in India and over 400 employees. This company, also a limited company, is profitable but located a bit farther away. The new job comes with a 2-year contract, where if terminated earlier, she must provide either 6 months' salary or a 6 months' notice. After completing 2 years, a 3 months' notice or 3 months' salary is required.
The dilemma is whether she should accept this job offer or wait for a bigger brand name. However, the prominent brand might offer lower pay and a less senior role due to her limited experience.
Please advise on what decision she should make as she needs to sign the papers by 21st June 07.
Regards, Pranita
