Hi i am from chennai and am writing on behalf of my brother who is currently working in abroad. He was working in Bangalore as a contractor to a reputed Software company for 2 years and he has quit on october 2010.
His resignation was accepted by the HR with the 30days notice period. The issue is they did not recruit a back up for my brother at his notice period. Since he needs to join the new company he has come out of the company.My brother spoke to them lot of times about his relieving letter but there is no proper response. He has sent e-mails to the HR and also the manager of the consultancy who is creating a problem in giving his relieving letter. When we called and checked he says exit formalities needs to be done and speaks very rude.
Can you please suggest what can be done now? Since reliving letter is mandatory for my brother's new company in abroad. Can i do the formalities on behalf of the brother with a signed letter from him?
