Regarding ISO 9000:27000 Certification

Dear All,
I am working as a lecturer in Computer Science Department of Government Polytechnic College. Our college head wants the college to be ISO certified and handover me the responsibility for this certification.
I have no idea that what are the standards needs to be followed for this certification, what are the basic requirement of these standards for a polytechnic college, what and how much time will it take, which agencies provide this certification in India?
if anyone have any information regarding this certification please help me.
