Are Corporate Offices Covered by Labor Laws Like the Factory Act? Seeking Clarity

ajitmani_3
We are working at a steel plant, and our site and corporate office are situated in different places in the same city. Can anybody help with whether the corporate or head office is covered under labor laws like the Factory Act, Maternity Act, and other labor laws?

Thank you,

Though the head office will be covered by your State's Shops and Commercial Establishments Act for registration, with regard to other social security schemes for the employees, both the factory and the head office employees will be taken together for applicability and enforcement of EPF, ESI, Maternity Benefits, Payment of Gratuity, etc.

Once the unit is registered under the Factories Act, all its offices, whether situated within the factory limits or elsewhere, shall have to be governed by the provisions of the Factories Act only with regard to the social and other welfare legislations.
