Need a Termination Notice Format for Unsatisfactory Performance – Can You Help?

Hi all,

I require a termination notice format. This is to issue for unsatisfactory performance of an employee despite giving fair enough chances to prove oneself in another role. If anyone has the ready reckoner, kindly post it onto the Cite HR Community as it will be beneficial for others.

If the termination letter is a simple termination of the contract of employment, the language of the letter is kept simple and unambiguous:

"In terms of clause ..... of your letter of appointment, we give you ... months' notice (or three months' pay in lieu of notice) for the termination of your contract of employment. Your employment will terminate on ....... and you will cease to be in our employment with effect from ..... forenoon. Your legal dues will be settled by the Accounts department during working hours on ....... You are advised to return all the company belongings to the Administrative officer by...."
