Dear Kaushika,

You are a member of CiteHR. Please read all the emails and attachments every day or once in 2-3 days. There is no need for subscriptions to any other stuff.

Phalgun
At least for labor law updates, you can subscribe to LABOUR LAW REPORTER, which is published out of Delhi.

Other than that, I agree with the suggestion that if you subscribe to citehr.com newsletter and visit this site regularly and read the discussions and also contribute to the discussions, it'll be the best HR mag you'll ever read.

Hi,

A few of the nice, valuable, worth-reading magazines/journals for HRD are:

1) Human Capital (Monthly issue)
2) Management Next (Monthly issue)

Hope they'll be of some help to you to start with.

Happy Reading!

Dear Kaushik,

One more magazine you can try for is BUSINESS MANAGER, totally focused on HR/IR issues. The contents are designed to equip practicing managers. The order form is attached.

Dear Kaushika,

Please refer to these two magazines "Human Capital" and "Business Manager". I find these magazines very useful. You can take a monthly subscription to these two magazines. For online references, apart from citeHR, you can also refer to http://humanresources.about.com/.

I came across "Business Manager" recently and found it very useful for all HR professionals.

Email for subscription:
1) businessmanageralwar@yahoo.com, akaushikus@yahoo.com
2) subscribe@www.humancapitalonline.com

Regards,
Shalini

Hi Kaushik,

It's humancapitalonline.com. I misspelled it in the previous one.

Go for Business Manager & HRM review - both monthly issues. Journal-wise, you may opt for the Indian Journal for Training & Development, Quarterly from ISTD.

Dear Kaushika,

"HRM Review" and "Human Capital" are the best books for HR. If you can subscribe to these and visit the CITEHR site every day, it's sufficient.

Mausam

Hello dear,

I would suggest you go for Human Capital and HBR. Both will be very useful.

One major problem with HR magazines in our country is that the ideas are not tested in the field. They are armchair speculations or simply hit ideas in secluded companies. I've cited some magazines which normally publish tested material.

All the best,

Hi, does it make any difference if it is from Delhi? I hope it doesn't cover any special HR practices in Delhi, right? I am in Mumbai and a beginner in this field. Should I subscribe to Human Capital as well?
