In case of any accident which results in the death of any person or which results in such bodily injury to any person as is likely to cause their death, the Factory Manager shall send a notice by telephone or special messenger within 12 hours and a verbal and written report within 24 hours in Form 20 (as per Rajasthan Factory Rules) to:
1. The Inspector and the Chief Inspector
2. The District Magistrate or Sub Divisional Officer
3. The officer in charge of the nearest Police Station
4. The relatives of the injured as notified by them in their personnel file.
All the employees are covered under a Group Personnel Accident Policy. The concerned department will inform and coordinate with the insurance company for the necessary claim.
In case of any accident resulting in such bodily injury to any person as is likely to cause their death, which takes place in the factory, all employees either have family accommodation within the premises or belong to nearby villages. Hence, any accident can be communicated to their family members immediately. However, under no circumstances should the lead time to communicate exceed 12 hours by personal messenger or telephonic communication under the supervision of the Factory Manager.
Hope the write-up will help you somehow...
