In the CTC regime, the employer contribution is also reflected in the CTC structure to inflate the CTC. It cannot be categorized as a deduction from salary.

I agree with pon1965 (above) - nowadays, CTC comprises the employer's contribution too. The employer can recover their contribution from the employee - as written in the PF Act (not 100% sure - read somewhere). It's advisable for employers to disclose this information while hiring employees, as it can come as a shock.
