Since the topic of logos has come up here, could anyone suggest some free websites where I can customize and create logos for a friend of mine who owns a company? I searched on Google and got a few names, but they were all paid sites.

Thanks, aussiejohn. I did a search on Google for freeware drawing packages and found a few. I have to check them out using the trial and error method before deciding which one to go ahead with.

I look forward to hearing how you fare with this. Please share details if you come across a good freeware package. I have tried a couple, but I couldn't get the hang of it. However, I must admit, I am not a very artistic person anyway :-(
