Navigating Contract Labour Act in Haridwar: Can Our Outsourcing Services Be Registered?

Hi All,

We are a technical outsourcing contractor (we provide utility services through outsourcing and operate as a facility management organization) in Haridwar with 18 employees. We have recently learned that only housekeeping, loading, unloading, and packaging contractors can be registered under the Contract Labour Act in Haridwar. Can you please provide guidance on this matter?

As per the Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, contract labour can be engaged only in areas which are not perennial in nature, for which a regular or full-time employee cannot be engaged. Please follow the link for more details:

As you are a Facility Management Company, please indicate whether you are obtaining a CLRA License in other states.

Dear Sir,

In other states, we also have obtained the labor license. Additionally, we have received Form - V from the principal employer to apply for the license. Please advise on the documents required for registration. If someone is from Uttarakhand, please guide me on the location of the ESI regional office in Rudrapur and Haridwar, as well as the DLC office. I am unable to find this information online, including the website of the Uttarakhand labor department.
