Is It Possible to Transfer Your PF When Moving Between States? Let's Discuss

Hi all, is PF transferable between two different states? Regards,
Rakesh_Dev78
Yes, there should not be any issues in transferring the PF to other regions. Transfer of Provident Fund accounts from one region to another, from an Exempted Provident Fund Trust to an Unexempted Fund in a region, and vice versa can be done as per the scheme. The transfer application in Form 13 may be submitted to the concerned Provident Fund Office.

Dear Rakesh Dev, PF from RPFC to an exempted Trust and vice versa can be transferred, provided the Pension Fund is run by EPFO. In other words, if the employer provides better benefits, they may get an exemption to run the Pension Fund. Accordingly, if the Pension funds are operated by exempted funds, PF cannot be transferred.

Yes, PF is transferable between two different states; it will depend upon the exemption or non-exemption from RPFC. In the case of an exempted organization, we need to fill two sets of Form 13: one for RPFC and the other one for the employer.

Thanks,

PF is transferable from anywhere to anywhere within India. There is no boundary for PF transfer. Just fill in Form 13 at the current employer, providing your previous PF number, and the rest will be done by the current employer.

Can anyone guide me on the procedure to follow when an employee switches to a new company and is enrolled in the PF at the old one? How do we transfer PF-related matters to the new company?
Iranna patil
Hello,

I'm Iranna from Bangalore. Yes, I have a PF account in Chennai, but I left the job one year back, and now I'm working in Bangalore. How can I claim that PF amount from the Bangalore PF office? Can anyone guide me as soon as possible?

Thank you.
Glidor
@Irana, log in to this site of EPFO with your current UAN number and OTP received on your registered mobile. Fill the transfer claim form from your old company; it will be submitted to your previous EPFO office, and they will take care of the transfer.
