Choosing Between an MBA or Ph.D. for a Career in HR: Seeking Guidance from Experienced Professionals

Dear Seniors,

I am very much interested in a career in HR. I am interested in Training & Development and Recruitment. Can you please guide me on whether I should go for an MBA from Qatar University where I am residing at present or a Ph.D. in Management, as I have a master's degree in Personnel Management from Pune University?

Secondly, how can I start HR as a career, because wherever I apply, everyone asks for experience here in Qatar?

I would suggest you contact the Carnegie Mellon campus in Education City. I do not know what the plans or dates are for graduate education there, but it might be worth checking out.

Carnie Melon does not have an MBA. They only have graduate programs. How about pursuing an online MBA from ICFAI or Symbiosis? Can you guide me further?
