Why HR? HR Interview Question.

Dear Neha,
i am absolutely agree of the statement and suggestion given by Miss Nandini,but formost important is, you should be honest to yourself.
Interviewers are also trying to check your confidence level and the way you are presenting the answer,it may change from one to another interviewer,but make it sure the ans should be ready before hand by identifying your weakness and strength.

All the suggestions are trying lead Neha to answer. The best would be to decide on what you replied is true to your self and justify. However it is true that one must be bold enough to say could not get other streams hence chose HR, if that is the case. Be truthfull to yourself and it will work.
As some one said no right or wrong answer only your confidance in answering is important.

Management in any organization is a combination &application of 5 Ms ie men ,money,material,machinery and methods. It is a well established thing that among all resources Human Resource is the most important and valuable resource.Human engineering/Human Management is the most complicated job among all.Howsoever,an industry may be automated, the human element is indispensable because it is the man who invents a machine and repairs it. it is the man who runs and controls it.therefore HR is very essential in any organization.The HR dept acts as a nodal agency in any organization between the management and employees.It lays down policies governing the service conditions of employees,motivation aspects, recognition and reward schemes/policies which ultimately culminate into higher productivity and production in the organization.These apart, it assists and coordinates among the different functional heads in uniformly implementing HR policies,disciplinary aspects in correcting the erring employees, compliance of labor laws,grievance handling, fire fighting in times of strikes and lockouts.In other words the services of HR are quint essential to any organization for effective realization of its goals juxtaposing the interests of the organization and the employees

Please clarify my quiries, An employee working pvt concern he is eligible for PL, SL & CL if the person applied for continues leave for one week in the middle of the week one day falls on national holiday, another one is festival holiday and third days falls sunday. Whether i have to deduct this three days from his PL or without deducting this three days from his PL can i pay full month salary.

Absolutely agree with ranganathmegge. Do not ever give text biook answers. The answers need to be yours and only yours.
An exercise in self assessment might also help you to find the right answer, that is, the right answer for you.

You could tell them that you are interested to manage the most important resource of an organisation, ie the manpower. Tell them you like interacting with people and that you are very social and a people's person.

i told that i could not get engineering as i had less marks so i joined HR ,
and i got the job
