Feeling Down? This Inspiring Story Might Just Lift Your Spirits

Dear Friends,

Every time I feel depressed and lack enthusiasm, I read this again and again, and it really motivates me a lot. I hope it also motivates you. I read this in a book which I would like to share with all of you.

"There were two men, each of whom lost an arm. At the end of a year, one of them was so discouraged that he had decided that life was not worth living with a handicap like that. The other was so joyful that he went about saying that he really did not know why nature had given us two arms when he could get along perfectly well with one."

Have a nice day.

The very purpose of stories is to re-rail a derailed person. But why derail at all? I mean, equipping oneself to be on the rail only is a better approach than derailing and rerailing.

Hi SKG,

I believe there is nothing wrong in developing or knowing about what you don't have. If we focus only on what we have, we will be left aloof in this competitive world. I hope our friends will accept this.

Hi skg,

You are correct!

I believe there is nothing wrong in developing or knowing about what you don't have. If we focus only on what we have, we will be left aloof in this competitive world. I hope our friends will accept this.

I didn't mean that you should not know about the things you don't have in life. I feel that you should not get depressed by them and become stagnant. Each and everything should be explored so that you become knowledgeable about the same.

Mr. Jogeshwar...

It's not that we are re-railing a derailed person... The point was for those who are in a derail position. You are right to an extent of 'Why derail at all,' but life is all about this journey where you learn by experience. A child learns to walk only after falling. Now, that means that failures, derails, are all in the process of learning the way of living. But from there on, if the person repeats the same mistake, then comes your point of 'Why derail at all?'

Nobody already knows everything. It's in the process of derailing that we realize where the rail is altogether.

"Learning from the experienced past, belief in the beautiful future, makes the present a present."
"No great person ever had an even life; it's the ups and downs that have made great history."
"The biggest mistake in life is to fear making one."
