PF Claim Procedure for an Employee from a Decade Ago

I am working in a hotel as HR. One of my employees worked for a cargo company 10 years ago in Allahabad. The company headquarters is in Hyderabad, and PF used to be deducted. At that time, while he was working, he could not get a PF number, so he thought he could not claim it. However, he has his payslip and would like to visit the head office to get his PF number and make a claim. Since he worked 10 years ago, is it possible, and what is the procedure? Please guide me.

Go to his previous employer with Form 19 and fill out the form with the data collected from there. Get the endorsed Form 19 from that employer and submit it to the RPFC (Regional Provident Fund Commissioner) associated with the previous employer. This is the procedure to withdraw the PF amount.

If you want to transfer the PF, fill out Form 13 and send it to the same RPFC through the present employer. This is advisable as the EPF (Employees' Provident Fund) and EPS (Employees' Pension Scheme) can be transferred in a single process.

To withdraw the PF amount, please fill out Form 19 and have it verified by the employer or any relevant authority such as MLA, SDM, Prasad, Gazetted officer, etc. Then, submit the form to the RPFC (related to the previous employer).

Alternatively, you can fill out Form 13 for transferring the PF to your current account number and send it to the same RPFC through your current employer.

To my knowledge and personal experience, if an employee wants to withdraw their P.F. accumulations from their ex-employer after three years, they have to submit an affidavit. This affidavit format can be obtained from the P.F. office. The affidavit has to be submitted along with Form 19 and 10C. Please let me know if you need further assistance or clarification.

Thank you.

Understanding PF Claim Forms

Form 19 is for claiming the PF accumulations of the employee (12% + 3.67%).

Form 10C is for claiming the pension fund accumulations of the employee (8.33%).

I am still confused. Can anyone tell me if I can withdraw the PF amount after completing 3 years of continuous service? In that case, can I withdraw the Family Pension Scheme (FPS) amount too? I heard that in this scenario, I will be entitled to withdraw only the PF amount (12% + 3.67% = 15.67%). Please clarify/help, as I am afraid to hear that I have to complete 10 years of continuous contribution in the PF Account to withdraw my FPS amount; otherwise, the same shall be forfeited, and I will only receive 15.67% of 24%.

Hi, I worked in the company from 2005 to 2006. Now, I want to withdraw my PF & Pension amount. When I called, they asked me to provide a justification letter explaining why I have not withdrawn for the past 7 years. Can anyone please help me with how to proceed? Thank you.
