Dear Experts,
We manage a private school located in Mehsana district, Gujarat, which is on the verge of receiving CBSE affiliation. According to the by-laws of the CBSE, schools must offer salaries comparable to those offered by government schools.
Government schools currently adhere to the wage structure outlined in the Sixth Pay Commission, which specifies various pay bands. In light of this, we have the following questions:
1. How can we determine the minimum basic salary that our school must provide to pre-primary, primary, secondary, and higher secondary teachers, as well as the principal, as per the Sixth Pay Commission?
2. What should be the percentage of DA (Dearness Allowance) and HRA (House Rent Allowance) that needs to be offered?
We greatly appreciate your guidance on this matter.
