How Do Employers Write a 30-Day Notice Letter to Employees? Seeking Format Advice

chitra.sharma
Hi friends,

Could someone please provide me with the format of a letter in which the employer is giving a notice period to the employee for relieving them? I am not looking for a termination letter, but rather a letter where the employer is providing a 30-day notice period to the employee, similar to what an employee does during resignation.

Thank you,
Chitra

Dear Chitra,

Please accept my appreciation for exhibiting "the human touch" in your attempt to deal with an unpleasant situation. Is it possible to try the following approach and paperwork:

[Counsel the employee first, explaining the circumstances and your stance in minimizing the impact of outplacement stigma and the company's viewpoint in future references.
Subsequent to this session, you can give the notice in the following manner:

"Dear -----

This is with reference to the discussion held with you on ........ As mutually agreed upon, the company hereby grants you a notice period of one month, ending on ............ We appreciate your contributions rendered and wish you all the very best in your future endeavors. ...

I shall await your feedback on this.

Warm regards.

Thanks for the format. We have already had a meeting and proper discussion with all the employees in the company. We have to give this as our company is going to close.

Thanks,
Chitra
