As per Fact act 1948 and which type of spitoons required in our factory?

Plz. where the readily available spitoons for the require as per Fact act 1948 and which type of spitoons required in our factory.

When the whole world is talking about World class manufacturing techniques the provision of spitoons is not given importance during statutory audits.
We all wish that such provisions can be removed over the next few years by the appropriate authorities.
In fact in many companies chewing of bubble gum, chicklets, pan, tobacco, smoking is banned inside the company premises.

As per gujarat high court order every factory has improved welfare and health system in the premises like spittoons, bathroom, toilet , canteen, OHC and first aid etc as per Fact act 1948 so factory inspector insist for the same.,

Presumably spittoons are only required by people who chew paan etc (which is bad in itself) so I don't know why this requirement would exist.
Can't sinks in bathrooms be considered spittoons? A spittoon is basically a place you can spit into, so why cannot a sink qualify to be this.
