Exploring HR Audit and Communication Strategies in Organizational Behavior Research

prags83
Hi,

I am currently pursuing my Masters in Organizational Behavior. I wanted to do research in my field. My interests would be:
- Communication strategies
- HR audit (how can I develop a research project on this?)
Basically, I want to brainstorm myself at this stage. Please provide inputs and suggestions on other topics and, if possible, how I can build a project on these. Looking forward to your support.

Hi Pragati,

Since you are interested in communication strategies, you chose an industry with the highest attrition rate. Research the communication strategies used in the top companies of that industry. An elaborate study on this may lead you to new ideas for generating a new framework.

Hope this helps you.

Hi Durga,

That sounds interesting. Maybe I can do a gap analysis of communication. Do you know of any tools to achieve this? I really appreciate your suggestion. Please suggest more on any new interesting concepts in HR that can be studied.

Thanks a lot.

Hi Pragati,

HR Audit is also an interesting and vast topic. You can audit any segment of HR, such as:

- Performance Appraisal
- Culture of an organization
- HR Processes
- Procedures followed in the HR dept
- Training and Development
- HR strategies

and the list goes on...

By doing this, you will be well updated with that segment and also learn the market trends. This will be essential for your future as well.

You can get a complete picture of HR Audit process from a book on HR Audit by T.V Rao.

All the best for your project.

Hi Soumya,

Thanks for the recommendation of the book - T.V. Rao. I have already procured it and have started preparing a template based on it. I was just curious if there is any other related literature I should be aware of before starting this project. Also, will there be any help to provide a live experience of conducting an HR audit in an organization?

I am quite new to the concept and hence a little apprehensive of my ability to do a successful project, and hence want to be prepared as much as possible before starting. Thanks a lot!

Pragati
