Dear HR Fraternity, I work for an IT company and would like to circulate the holiday list for 2011 in the organization. Please let me know the state and central government holiday list that is applicable for Karnataka.

I have finalized the below-listed holidays for FY 2011 for our Bangalore branch. I hope they will be of some use.

1st January - New Year's Day
15th January - Pongal/Sankranthi
26th January - Republic Day
2nd March - Maha Shivaratri
4th April - Gudi Padwa/Ugadi
15th August - Independence Day
1st September - Vinayaka Chaturthi
5th October - Mahanavami/Ayudha Pooja
5th October - Dassera/Vijayadashami
6th October - Diwali/Naraka Chaturdashi
26th October - Diwali/Balipadyami
1st November - Kannada Rajyotsava Day

You mentioned 6th October as Diwali and further 26th October as Diwali. I found confusion in your holiday list. It should be checked and rectified.
