I am working in the FMCG sector, typically in a Manufacturing Location with a Generalist HR profile. My management wants to initiate a reward and recognition policy for all permanent employees and workers. They want me to start with the Best Employee of the Unit and the Best Worker of the unit. Since I have worked on performance parameters for the production unit such as production, wastage (%), productivity, and their absenteeism. Since the operation of the particular unit is very large, they do not have data on such parameters. Data building takes a long time. Without incorporating objectivity into the policy, we will not achieve the policy's objectives. This could lead to dissatisfaction among the team.
Hence, I seek your help on how to start with simple parameters to enable me to declare the best employee or best worker of the unit. The skill sets of employees and workers vary.
