I must compliment you for taking the time to prepare a very different and well-structured presentation on Time Management. However, I am afraid it may have limited audience appeal. Nonetheless, it was a good presentation.

Dear Feroza,

A very nice presentation, but I feel it is too 'religious'! While I am a strong advocate of secularism, I believe that our messages should empower professionals to achieve global standards through logical management approaches, rather than relying on 'religious' teachings. This is a personal belief and should not be intertwined with corporate realities.

I must admit, it is a very nice presentation...

Thank you for the PowerPoint presentation. Removing slides with quotes from religious texts would make the presentation more concise and save precious time in conveying the message. I hope you take this comment in the right spirit.

Have a nice day.

Regards, Simhan

Perhaps to Muslims, this PPT on Time Management may appeal. Time Management is a skill, and a skill is neutral without any particular leaning. You have mixed quotes from religious books and regular points on Time Management. The quotes are moralistic in appeal. Your effort is appreciated. GOD is the master, and obeisance to HIM will give us everything that we truly need. With HIM by our side, we don't even need to manage time.

I agree with Anand... What will it be next? Hindu way, Christian way, Buddhist way, Jewish way? etc., etc. Please keep religion out of corporate life.

Hi Firoja,

A very beautiful and thoughtful presentation. It changes one's perspective on religion and should be used for spreading love, tolerance, and the message that the crux of all religion is the same.

Thanks, I am going to use it in part or totality depending on the audience when I make my presentation.

Hi Feroza, although I have certain reservations on 2-3 points, overall, it is a very nice presentation on the utility and management of time.

Dear Sister in Islam,

Thank you very much for posting the "Time Management" ppt. It signifies the actual way of faith because every person seeks to find the true path for their life. Religion and life are both essential, like soulmates to each other.

Dear Colleagues,

I kindly request that you please show respect for your own beliefs and those of others.

With Best Regards,

Dear Anand, Simhan, Bhutia, and PVQ,

As professionals, we must not take the concept being presented with any religious theme behind it. We have to accept whatever the best concepts we can derive from anything, irrespective of whether it is taken from any religion or some other scholarly work. The author of the thread has clearly mentioned "Time Management - the Islamic way." This is what we can learn even from the religion of Islam in managing our goals in our professional and personal lives.

However, the presentation can be more professional and secular if excerpts and concepts are also taken from other religions and presented in combination within one presentation.

"Well, I don't like the concept of being religious rather than professionally focused."

Hi Feroza,

I went through the presentation and found it quite interesting from the point of view that some very interesting passages have been quoted, which are usually not heard otherwise. It is good that you have brought out some useful verses that are beneficial for people from all walks of life and religions, creating a positive impression on everyone.

Cite HR is a very mature and sensible group of people, and it is good that people have viewed the presentation in the right spirit. I feel that any humanistic and positive messages from any religion that can help us become better human beings should be shared and exchanged, whether from the Gita, Quran, Bible, or any other texts or sects.

The corporate world didn't exist in the times of Siddhartha or Socrates, but wise men surely did exist, and we can always use that wisdom and interpret it according to today's times and environment.

The principles are good; however, as most have commented, don't mix religion with management principles. In fact, you can quote from different religions, various personalities, and diverse thinkers, not solely from the Quran.

Nagaraj
