How Can I Align Employee Training with Our Organization's Quality Goals?

Gunjan_Sharma
Hi all,

I have been asked in an audit of quality standards how I will ensure that the training imparted to employees is aligned with the organization's quality objectives. Please help me as I need to document this.

Thanks in advance,
Gunjan

Please do the simple competency mapping first in terms of knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to perform the identified/assigned job (position). It may be easier to identify the skill and knowledge part, but attitude mapping is a bit more challenging. To start, define attitude in simple terms like "Ability to work independently all the time" or "Ability to work under expert supervision sometimes," etc.

Next, assess the current level of competence of the current job holder. This evaluation will help you identify any gaps. Then, decide on the training needed in terms of KSA or whether the training already provided aligns with any of the identified attributes.

Ask the employee to list a few learning points, and choose two or three that they would like to implement in the workplace. Gather feedback from superiors/peers.

If someone has already received training, obtain feedback from their superiors/peers regarding any changes in their workplace behavior or whether they have applied any of the learning points from the program at work (Rate it on a scale of 1-5).

Please initiate this process and share feedback.
