Considering an MBA at Leeds Metropolitan University? Seeking Insights on Experience and Opportunities

Dear All,

Recently, I received an offer from one of the UK universities (Leeds Metropolitan University) for my MBA course. I would like to gather more information about the university. I visited their website and conducted extensive research. Specifically, I am interested in learning about the environment, the validity of the certificate, the quality of pursuing an MBA with them, job opportunities, and any other relevant details. I would appreciate it if you could share your thoughts on this matter.

Thanks and Regards,
Kartimv

I cannot comment on job opportunities as it depends on various other factors about you and your previous qualifications. Leeds Metropolitan is a good university and came into existence as a Uni in 1992; it was a polytechnic before that. It's not one of the ELITE universities but a good one. Leeds is a good place; I have been there.

Have you got 2 years of work experience?

Best wishes,

Dear Kartim,

A few of my friends have finished their MBA and M.Sc. in games & development at Leeds Met last year. The university is good, and the certificate is absolutely valid. The atmosphere at the university is really good; the lecturers are very helpful with your projects.

You can go ahead and accept the offer. Currently, my friends are looking for jobs and in the process of renewing their visas.

Here is one of my friend's FB link: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1394897382. His name is Vinoth. If you have any doubts about the university, you can ask him.

About the job opportunity: If you ask me, getting a job in the UK for an Indian is a tough task nowadays. Studying MBA will always be helpful, but getting a job in the UK is not as easy as you think.

I hope this information will help you in some ways.

Thanks,
Iker

Hi Karthick,

Leeds University is one of the elite universities, whereas Leeds Metropolitan is a different university and not as well recognized. Leeds Metropolitan has a branch in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India. I would suggest that there are very few and average universities available for MBA, especially for freshers. Therefore, check the university before joining. If you have experience, you have other options such as Lancaster, Nottingham, King's College London, Manchester University, etc., depending on your percentage in graduation. I have this information because I worked as a foreign education consultant.

All the best

With due respect to Wadhnag, LMU is a good university. Please see [Times Good University Guide 2010](http://whichuniversitybest.blogspot.com/2009/06/times-good-university-guide-2010.html) and [Fees at elite universities set to rocket](http://www.guardian.co.uk/education/2010/oct/08/fees-elite-universities-rocket) regarding Elite Universities in the UK.

Have a nice day.
