Stuck Without Relieving Letter and Experience Certificate: How Can I Join My New Job?

I am working in a Pune-based startup company. In Pune, I am the only employee here. Now I have got a job in an MNC, and my manager/CEO of the company was not in Pune when I got the job. When I informed him that I got the job and sent him a resignation letter, he started ignoring me. He does not receive my phone calls or reply to any of my emails.

Moreover, he blocked my company email. It has been almost 10 days that I have been trying to contact him. I urgently need the relieving letter and the experience certificate to join the MNC. He did not even pay me last month's salary, and I understand that he will never give me any pending salary. However, I would be happier if he just sent me those two documents. He is truly unprofessional, and he has done the same thing with other employees as well (the offer letter states that the notice period is 1 month, which can be negotiable).

What should I do now? I want to join my new job urgently, but due to the lack of documents, I am just sitting idle and cannot join. Please advise.

Actually, the person is not in the office. Anyhow, I couldn't get to know his current location as he isn't answering my calls or emails. However, I will contact the MNC today and inform them about my situation. The only issue is that these MNCs have become very strict about their background checks recently.

Knowing that this management has done the same thing to one of your ex-colleagues, why have you not communicated to the new employer at the time of the interview itself that this is a non-professional organization and you are not sure of getting a relieving/service certificate, etc.? You might have thought that once you got selected, then you could see, or else you might have thought that you might be disqualified if you reveal the same. But in my opinion, you should have communicated with them at the time of the interview. However, the employers will also have a lot of information about the organizations, and if they have an idea about your organization, there is every possibility of accepting your request.

Oh, I contacted the MNC regarding this concern, but they told me I have to get those two documents to join. I don't know what to do! Shall I go for a legal option against them?

Actually, for my ex-colleagues, they had a bad relationship with the CEO (which is obviously because of him) at the end, and they had shown some other company's relieving letter (which they bought from that company). But I maintained a good relationship with the manager throughout. I kept this company and the application information in my resume. I never thought he would do these things to me - what problem can anyone have for giving these two documents with merely having 3-4 sentences and a signature!!

Now, I can join the next company the same day I get these documents, but I couldn't, and I'm sitting idle without pay! Strange!

I am still having this problem. I talked to the MNC regarding this, but they asked me to try as this is a company policy. I am looking for a solution—maybe I will send a legal notice asking for these papers. However, I am positively expecting that the MNC will accept without any documents. Let's see.
