Considering an MBA in HR: Is a Correspondence Course Worth It for Career Changers?

Dear friends,

I am an engineering graduate and want to pursue my career in HR. I was in the admin department of the university for 4 years. Now, I have just left my job and am searching in the HR field. I want to do an MBA in HR, so if I go for a correspondence course, will it be beneficial for me? If yes, then which institute, and if not, should I go for an on-campus course? I completed my engineering degree in 2002. Please help me out.

Hi,

Any MBA completed in a regular college is definitely more enriching and useful than one completed through correspondence, though that does not mean that correspondence MBAs are not valuable. If you are from Tamil Nadu, then IGNOU, TNOU, and Madras University are good options. Symbiosis and even IIM offer distance education programs.
