How Do You Add a Family Member to an Employee's ESIC Smart Card? Seeking Guidance!

Hello friends, I have a query about ESIC. Now, the employee has received a Smart card for ESIC. Can anybody guide me on what the procedure is to add a family member's name to an employee's card? Kindly guide.

After full computerization of the scheme, the Insured Person can add their family members by submitting the required application at the branch office. The IP has to attend the Branch Office along with the pending family members, where ESIC will capture the particulars and fingerprints of such additional family members.

Before computerization, if you want to add your family members, you can include them in the manual card, which will facilitate medical care for the IPs family members.

For further guidance, please approach the nearest ESI Branch Office.

Clarification on Income Condition
It's a funny interpretation... The income condition is only for parents. They are not supposed to ask any details of the spouse for adding them to the card. Why do you have to approach ESI? By using the ESIC portal itself, you can add the family particulars. The only thing you have to do is update the IP details, take a revised printout of TIC, and advise the employee to attend the Pehchan Camp along with the new family member, whose details are required to be added to the card.

Can anyone help me understand whether I can add my old-age aunt, who is dependent on me, as a nominee in ESI? In the ESI form, I found the nominee details for "other." Does this refer to adding her as a nominee? Please help me understand this, as I am confused.

Sir, I have already entered family members in ESIC, but my daughter's name is missing. Can I add my daughter's details?

I want to know if anyone can include dependents in ESI in the middle of a financial year. My HR says we cannot include any dependents in the middle unless it is a newborn baby. Please let me know. Thanks.
