Confused About EPF Withdrawal After Changing Jobs? Here's How to Navigate It

sureshpurty
Hi, I used to work for Reliance Communication Ltd. about a year ago. Now, I'm working with a new company. At the time of joining, I filled out an EPF form and also provided the details of my last EPF account (from my previous employer) so that it could continue with my new EPF account. Recently, I found out that this was not the case.

How to Apply for EPF Withdrawal

My question is, how can I apply for EPF withdrawal now?

Your information is very short and incomplete, but as per your statement, I think that while joining the new company, Form No. 13 (transfer of A/c.) might have been filled. In this situation, the previous balance of Reliance shall be transferred to your new A/c. In the future, when you leave this job, you have to submit Form 19 along with Form 10 C under the current employer only. The signature of the previous employer isn't required.

I was working in my previous organization from 2005 to 2014 (9 years & 5 months). In the first two years, my previous employer did not deduct the PF as I was on probation. In my new organization, they are not providing EPF.

My Concerns

1. Now, I wish to get the accumulated amount back.
2. Am I eligible for a pension? If yes, how much and when will I get it?
3. What if I don’t withdraw the money and instead withdraw it after retirement, say at the age of 55-60?

Please help. Thanks in advance.
