Seeking Your Thoughts: How Can I Improve My Communication Skills Presentation?

Unlike the aforesaid, I would be a bit critical. Following is my feedback:

1. The content is really nice, especially the "drinking problem" analogy.

2. Any PowerPoint (PPT) we make has a specific objective, and the same has to reflect on the slideshow too. Please mention a specific objective of your PPT.

3. Slide 3 mentions body language; however, in later slides, there is nothing about Body Language. Communication is a vast topic and includes both Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication. If we are only covering Verbal Communication, it should be named Verbal Communication.

4. Though white looks sober, try to use a professional-looking template.

5. Some of the slides look cluttered because of the extensive content on them. Try not to write the entire text on the PPT. Also, use Arial or Times New Roman as the font; Comic Sans gives an unprofessional look.

6. Assumptions/perceptions should have been the first point.

7. There are a lot of formatting issues.

I am sorry, but as I said, I would be a bit critical.

It will be better if you just leave key words on each slide. As an audience member, I cannot see the tiny words on the slide when you use an overhead projector to show your slides; maybe font size 30 will be better.

A good effort, just check a few misspelled words. It would be nice to explain the challenges at the end. Overall, a good presentation.

Good Presentation. There could be some parts where improvement may be done though:

1. Some slides have too much text. Use the presentation to enable you to present. You should be everything for the presentation, not the ppt. Rehearse so that you see the pointers on the slide and give the explanation to the audience. Otherwise, the audience gets engrossed in reading what's written on the slides.

2. Use "Roleplay" for techniques such as questioning.

3. Merge slides 16 and 17 into one.

4. Slide 18 - the word 'hear' is spelled as 'here'. Please change. Also, split the big paragraph into pointers.

5. Place the content of each slide in a 'content holder'. You could template the slides using custom templates of yourself.

6. Have the last slide as 'Thank You' or 'Q&A'.

7. Overall a good presentation once again. As covering communication is huge, better subtext the title as Communication (verbal).

I appreciate your effort and indeed it is a good contribution. I have only one suggestion: on slide 8, you have provided the scores of the test. It would be really nice if you could also attach the test you had conducted. Without the test, nobody can reference the scores mentioned.

Great attempt on the presentation. However, I would like to share a few important points that I learned in a recent training on presentation skills. Our trainer emphasized the importance of having an objective at the start of the presentation to make the content clear to the audience. Additionally, including a summary slide can help the audience better understand the presentation. These are two elements that I believe were missing from your presentation. Thank you for sharing!

Dear Arpee, I appreciate the effort you put into the presentation, and the PowerPoint is nicely done. However, I regret to inform you that I am siding with Rahul. Your slides are deviating from the main purpose and are completely out of focus. There seems to be a mix-up with a few things that shouldn't be there.
