Esi Applicability - Corporate Office

sudeept
Dear Seniors,
I need your help in solving my query on ESI Applicability.
We have our Operations Office in Goa & our Corporate Office in Noida.
For GOA we have a ESI COde, but for our Coporate office we dont have an ESI Code. Since the ESI Ceiling has gone up,3~4 employees who are working at Noida Office are falling under ESI.
Our Salary is processed from our Goa Plant, so is it possible that we can add these 3 ~4 employees under ESI at Goa.
  • If their names are added in Goa ESI, can they avail ESI Benefits at Noida.
  • Can we have a seperate ESI Code for Noida but the employees falling under ESI are only three.
Please advise.
Regards,
Sudeept

Dear Sudeept,
U please get a separate sub code no. for ur Noida based on the main code no. of Goa. For getting a sub code no., no. of employees is not the criteria.
Further guidance, u can approach the nearest ESI branch office or the Social Security officer (formerly Insurance Inspector) of ur area.......
with regards,

Dear Mr. VSP,
My office is in Gurgaon. We had the ESI code of our company but we have not taken the new 17 digit code from esi office as we were not knowing about that till that time. At the time of filing half yearly return of ESI the ESI people tell us about the new 17 digit code and they have given us the 17 digit code which we have mentioned in the returns for submission. Now we have received a esi code by post in which the code is different from the one which we have mentioned while filing the return. And that new code is came by the name of different company but the address is of our company. Now i just want to know that from where and how i can get these things resolved. What steps i should take so that this problem can get resolved.
Thanks in advance for your valuable inputs.

Dear Kalpana,

First of all sorry my delayed response, as i went out of station during December, i could not respond quickly.

O.K., I will give the solution by point by point:

01. As u said the 17 digit code no. received by post is different from the 17 digit received by our Branch Office...
please intimate the same to the Branch Office and got clarified the issue, they can contact the REgional Office over phone and solve ur problem. Further 99% the 17 digit code no. received by post will be ur CORRECT Code no., as it should be used as ur username for ur online transanction in future.

02. U told that the company name is different: The details at the REgional office may not be updated with the latest things on different reasons... U are requested to approach the REgional Office concerned from where u got the post and expedite the facts to them by writing and request them to update their records (please submit the documentary evidence of ur stand). Further as per present online system all the corrections of ur company name and address may be edited by urself by using the user id and pass word with necessary documentary evidence..

ALL THE BEST .....HOPE I CLARIFIED UR DOUBT.....
