Maithilee Joshi
Hi all,

I am a student of Industrial and Organizational Psychology. As part of a project, I need information regarding the following:

The components of salary in Oman in terms of mandatory aspects of salary, benefits, etc., for local Omani people as well as expatriates.

Awaiting information regarding the same from you all.

Thanks!

- Medical
- Gratuity: 15 days of basic wages for a completed year
- Leave: one month of paid holiday per year

For Omanis:

Thanks for the information, Ponraj!

Also, I would just like to confirm - with regard to tax, there is no personal income tax in Oman, right? So, the gross salary is also the in-hand (net) salary?

Could you also tell me if there are any websites where I could get information regarding salary package contents in different companies in Oman?

Thanks a lot once again!

Hi Maithilee,

There is no personal tax in Gulf countries. Please read this link for more information: [Oman Labour Law](http://directory-oman.com/labourlaw.htm).

Hi Ponraj,

I'm already going through the labor laws. I just wanted to identify that apart from whatever is mentioned in the laws (e.g. gratuity for expats, social security for locals, leaves, etc.), what salary components do companies offer in practice. It'll be great if you can help me on that account.

Thanks a lot for the help so far!
